Kids, Falls & Chiropractic

Did you know that by the age of seven, a child will have fallen over about 2500 times(1)? Although most children seem to recover well after a fall, the subtle damage may lead to sprains or strains causing poor postural and neurological function over time. Without intervention these problems can continue later into childhood and even adulthood. As well as causing pain and discomfort, a sprain or strain which impacts the joint can result in seemingly unrelated issues such as growing pains, compromised immune strength or digestive issues. If untreated over time, the sprain/strain can worsen, so the best time to address and resolve minor dysfunctions is straight away.

Your chiropractor is uniquely qualified to identify and correct minor biomechanical sprains and strains to improve the function. Chiropractic for babies and children has been shown to be gentle, safe and effective(2).
