Enhance Flexibility and Strength with Our Classes

At Malvern Chiropractic Clinic and Melbourne Spine Clinic our therapeutic goals are for best outcome practices, relief, and management of spine, back and neck conditions.

The Cox® Technic flexion distraction and decompression approach to back pain is pragmatic, and centres around preventative management.

Preventative management is gained by:

  • Learning proper lifting, bending, twisting techniques
  • Exercising appropriately
  • Diet and nutrition
  • Lifestyle modifications
  • Control helps patients regain quality of life.

The classes offered on site and in person with a Chiropractor leading the class are part of our commitment to fostering a co-operative relationship between the patient and practitioner. We encourage patients to take an active role in achieving a high quality of health and becoming better educated in managing their condition and improving their quality of life.

Stretch classes

Did you know, stretching can:

  • Improve flexibility
  • Enhance core stability, and
  • Prevent injury

This practitioner – guided class focuses on stretching, strengthening and core stability work, with an emphasis on rehabilitative and preventative exercise integration using an exercise ball.

Back Classes

We’ll explain how to take care of your back, reduce pain, ease headaches, learn correct lifting techniques, home and office ergonomics, therapy options and exercise management. We’ll explain how to modify your daily activities, and advise on exercises to encourage recovery from your condition and prevent it from recurring.

Low Back Stretch Class

What is it? The Low Back Stretch Class focuses on the most commonly presenting condition in our clinic – Low Back Pain. We teach stretches and exercises to help patients with their spinal pain conditions which in turn, helps patients to actively participate in their recovery.

Level: Beginner

What to bring: Wear exercise clothing, bring a water bottle and a towel

Equipment: An exercise ball will be provided as part of the class

Excercise Ball Class

What is it? The Exercise Ball for Beginners Class focuses on the most commonly prescribed exercises used by our Cox® Certified Practitioners. This class focuses on stretches and exercises using exercise balls to help patients with their spinal pain conditions.

Audience: ESPECIALLY BEGINNERS!

Level: All levels

Falls Prevention Exercise Class

What is it? The Falls Prevention Exercise Class focuses on a growing issue faced by an ageing population – falling and the prevention of Falls.
This class focuses on low impact, easy exercises to build strength and balance to enable patients to prevent falls.
